We came to Morning Star New York as a dating couple and were a part of this church for our engagement, wedding, and our first anniversary. Through all of this we have had a wonderful and supportive group of people to share it with. One of the most important aspects of this congregation for us has been the people that have come into our lives. MSNY has represented a place where we have friends to share in our joys, and help in our struggles. In this church we can see the love talked about in the Bible lived out day after day.

The easiest way to see this love is in the way so many different cultures interact so well with each other. Being an interracial couple, feeling comfortable was something that was very important to us. We knew we needed a congregation that would be accepting of us…in fact not just accepting, but supportive. MSNY is a family that makes a concerted effort to make everyone feel that they ARE family. The relationships that we have formed here have helped to change our lives, and have given us the support to change the lives of others.

MSNY has inspired us to pursue our destiny. With encouraging instruction from the pastors and other members of the church we are learning how to reach people for Christ in our places of work. Each and every Sunday we are motivated to develop relationships with people so that we can share the good news of what Christ has done for us. We are truly thankful for MSNY and the example that it sets for us.
