I came to NYC in the summer of 2002, after years of education and training, to finally begin a lifelong chosen career of medicine. Being a doctor has been immensely challenging with hard work, long hours and the literal confrontation of life and death situations almost daily. I have no doubt that a key component of my surviving and thriving emotionally and spiritually has been brought about by the anchoring presence that Morning Star New York has been in my life. In MSNY I find men and women who are willing to go beyond just playing “church” weekly, but are sincerely trying to live out their faith daily. With the backdrop of a city prized for grandeur, anonymity, and self-reliance, I find intimacy, transparency and connection. As busy as my profession makes me, the growth in my faith; the rich friendships that rejuvenate me; and the renewed sense of purpose in God that drives me; make MSNY an invaluable part of my life. It all adds up to making me a better doctor for my patients as well. ![]() |
