Who: Yuto I was born in Japan, and as typical Japanese, I believed in Buddhism and Shinto. Also, as typical businessman, I was self-centered, business was my top priority, I was not a family type person. Then, I divorced after 15yrs of marriage. When my daughter was at junior high, she had some trouble at school, and the teacher introduced her Yokohama Grace Bible Church, which is part of Every Nation ministries in Japan. She was saved there 5 yrs ago, and she started to pray for our family. One by one, my family members got saved, and I was left alone. When my daughter visited me, here in NY, this March, I was taken to MSNY. That’s when I met Pastor Ron Lewis for the first time. We were invited to several church activities during that week, including full day foundation class followed by a “Passion of Christ” outing. After the movie, Pastor Ron approached me, and we shook hands. Suddenly, I started weeping, sweating and my nose running. I think I was touched by the Holy Spirit. A month later, I surrendered myself to the Lord, Jesus Christ, while I visited my daughter’s church in Japan. Everybody say it is very unusual that a Japanese businessman became a Christian in the middle of his life. Actually, the conversion is not easy. But, as they say, if you reach a young person, you can reach their family. So, I just opened my mind and followed. ![]() |
